I’ve been helping North Georgia smiles flourish since 2012, and families can rest easy knowing that I
have the advanced education needed to tackle even complex orthodontic cases. I don’t believe in
mail-order solutions or “one size fits all” care. Instead, I work closely with each patient to
understand their needs and develop entirely custom treatment plans that lead to stunning results!
The number one question we get is “when should my child first visit an orthodontist?” It might surprise
you to hear that age 6 or 7 is the ideal time. Most associate orthodontic treatments, like Invisalign, with teenagers, but alignment problems, such as
crossbite and other orthodontic issues, can be detected earlier in children. With Phase 1 Orthodontics,
Dr. Podray or Dr. Lewis can intervene early on, correcting developmental issues and shaping a healthier,
more balanced smile from the get-go. Only 30% of children need Phase 1 Orthodontics, and we proudly
offer parents complimentary evaluations to see if early treatment is needed. Screening and treating
issues early on make ongoing treatment simpler, more predictable, and can prevent extractions and more
intense treatment in the future.
Our in-house payment plans can split up the cost of big treatments over several months, which is
ideal for budget-minded families close by. Better yet, there’s no interest!
